Japanese superstar Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels has been out of action in his turn at bat in Major League Baseball due to a right oblique injury. A tear in his right elbow sidelined him for the rest of the season in his role as a pitcher

Despite not playing, however, he still gives baseball writers and fans something to talk about, because we are not forgetting that at the end of the season, he will enter MLB Free Agency. And that leads to hugely impactful questions.

Regarding this, the MLB insider at the The Athletic, Jim Bowden, pointed out the most likley destinations for the Japanese player according to different sources collected.

The information indicates that the Los Angeles Dodgers are the main candidate to sign the player, followed by the Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, New York Mets and the Boston Red Sox.

Based on this, the option of the New York Yankees, previously very strong, has been diluted.

Ohtani, 29, is batting .304/.412/.654 with 44 home runs, eight triples, 26 doubles, 20 stolen bases, 95 RBIs and 102 runs scored in 135 games.
