Which countries are competing in the 2025 Caribbean Series?

The participants for the 2025 Caribbean Series in Mexico are now confirmed. Unfortunately, Cuba, Colombia, and Panama have been ruled out.

The participants for the Caribbean Series 2025 have been defined as the four member countries of the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (CPBC): Mexico, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. They revealed that Japan will be next year’s edition guest team in Mexicali, Mexico.

The participation of Japan as a guest country was confirmed, and it will be the first time that they will be present in the tournament:

“Mexicali is going to dress up because, for the first time, there will be a Japanese team in the Caribbean Series, which fills us with pride because even though it has been very popular for an Asian team to appear, it is going to achieve in beloved Mexicali,” said Juan Puello, commissioner of the Caribbean Baseball Conference.

The following Caribbean Series will take place from January 31 to February 7, 2025. Cuba, Colombia, Nicaragua, Panama, and Curaçao, which have participated in past editions of the baseball tournament, have been ruled out for the upcoming event.

Last year, the Tiburones de La Guaira from Venezuela were crowned by beating the Tigres del Licey from the Dominican Republic 3-0 in Miami.

The next venues Caribbean Series will be as follows:

  • 2025 | Mexico (Mexicali)
  • 2026 | Venezuela
  • 2027 | Mexico (Hermosillo)
  • 2028 | Dominican Republic
  • 2029 | Puerto Rico
