The 2025 World Series continues tonight in Los Angeles, with the Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays tied at two games apiece after Toronto’s 6–2 win in Game 4. The Blue Jays bounced back from their extra-innings heartbreak the night before to even the series and guarantee a return to Canada later this week.
Now, with everything on the line in Game 5, the Fall Classic once again mixes music and drama under the bright lights of Chavez Ravine.
Sofia Carson and Rufus Wainwright to perform national anthems
Before first pitch, two cross-border stars will take center stage. Sofia Carson, the American pop singer and actress known for her work in Descendants and Purple Hearts, will perform The Star-Spangled Banner. Representing Canada, Rufus Wainwright – the celebrated singer-songwriter and composer behind acclaimed albums such as Poses and Want One – will lend his unmistakable voice to O Canada.
Their performances continue MLB’s tradition of pairing prominent artists from both nations throughout this year’s series, following appearances by Pharrell Williams, Voices of Fire, Brad Paisley, Tinashe, Deborah Cox, Alessia Cara and Bebe Rexha.
Pivotal night in Los Angeles
With the World Series tied 2–2, Blake Snell will take the mound for Los Angeles against Toronto rookie Trey Yesavage, a rematch of Game 1. The Dodgers aim to reclaim momentum before the series shifts back to Toronto for the weekend, while the Blue Jays look to ride their Game 4 momentum and edge closer to their first title in over 30 years.
First pitch at Dodger Stadium is set for 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.
