With Madison Square sold out every single season, it would be fair to say that the New York Knicks fan base is extremely dedicated. Truth be told that’s something of an understatement, but it’s not just ordinary folks either. Indeed, the Knicks boast a whole host of celebrity fans who are regularly seen at games. Yet, who are they? Let’s find out.

10 Celebrity Knicks Fans

10. Drew Barrymore

Having achieved fame as a child with her breakout role in the world-famous classic film, ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,’ Barrymore would go on to star in a number of successful films including ‘Scream,’ ‘Batman Forever,’ ‘50 First Dates’ and ‘The Wedding Singer’ to name a few. These days, when she’s not hosting her own talk show, ‘The Drew Barrymore Show,’ she can often be found sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden cheering on her favorite team.

9. John Stewart

A son of the soil, Stewart is New York bred through and through and with that, has no qualms about showing where his allegiances lie. The former host of ‘The Daily Show’ is common sight courtside and has often been considered one of the Knicks most passionate fans.

8. Katie Holmes

A New York native, the ‘Batman Begins’ star can often be seen out and about in the Big Apple. Yet, one place that you’re almost certain to catch a glimpse of her is at the Garden supporting her favorite team.

7. Woody Allen

Another son of the city, the “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” director is as dedicated to the Knicks as they come. Indeed, there is perhaps only one other entry on this list who has as long standing and fervent a relationship with the Knicks as Allen.

6. 50 Cent

A long time Knicks fan, the rapper whose real name is Curtis Jackson is actually from New York City, so it makes sense that the Garden is his spot.

5. Jerry Seinfeld

Having been born and raised in New York, it’s simply a matter of natural progression when it comes to being a Knicks fan. Over the years the acclaimed actor and comedian has been a fixture courtside and that’s not likely to change anytime soon.

4. Alicia Keys

If there was any doubt about how much this Manhattan native loves her city, you only need to consider the fact that she wrote an entire song about it. Indeed, the award-winning singer wears her love for NYC on her sleeve and that’s probably why she can often be seen courtside rooting for her beloved Knicks.

3. Howard Stern

Stern’s voice has been synonymous with American radio for decades now. Born and raised in New York, his distinct voice has accompanied a generation and throughout that time he’s never made any secret of his affection for his hometown team.

2. Chris Rock

Perhaps the greatest comedian of his generation, Rock has been a devoted Knicks fan for as long as we can remember. So much so in fact, that were it not for the last remaining name on this list, he’d probably hold the No. 1 spot.

1. Spike Lee

Consider for a moment that the director’s love for his team has even been referenced in more than one film. Through thick and thin, if there is one thing you can count on the Knicks biggest fan to do, it’s be there.
