Update:

The 2025 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas will take place from July 12 to July 22, hosted at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion. All 30 NBA teams will participate, making it a comprehensive showcase for rookies, young talent, and fringe players hoping to secure roster spots for the upcoming season.

How does the NBA Summer League format work?

Each team will play at least five games in a round robin format, not a bracket. The first four games are part of the preliminary round, scheduled from July 12 to 19. After that, the top four teams—based on winning percentage—will advance to the playoff semifinals on July 21, followed by the championship game on July 22. The remaining 26 teams will each play a fifth and final consolation game on July 20 or 21.

If there’s a tie, tiebreakers will be used to determine standings after the four preliminary games. In the case of a two-team tie, the order is: head-to-head result, point differential, total points scored, and then a coin flip. For multi-team ties, point differential comes first, followed by total points scored and, if necessary, a coin flip.

All 76 games of the Summer League will be broadcast across multiple platforms, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN+, and NBA TV.

The championship game will air live on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET on July 22.
