2025 NBA All-Star Rising Stars Game, live: Stats, score and highlights

Team C ended the game on a 17-2 run as they took control and cruised to the All-Star Sunday match up. It's Shaq and LeBron waiting for them in the semifinal from San Fran after they punched their ticket to the main event.
Leonard Miller and the G League had a commanding lead for the first part of that game, but they faded as Team C caught fire.
Dink Pate and the G League were fresh coming off of their Game 2 win in the semifinal and they got off to a quick start.
Bryce McGowens did the same thing in the second semifinal when he ended the game with a three ball down by one to lead Team G League to a shock victory over Team M.
I'd say that was a pretty successful All-Star Friday. The Rising Stars Challenge showed just how competitive this weekend can be as both semifinals were won with game winning shots. First it was Stephon Castle ending Game 1 as Team C beat Team T with this elbow jumper.

All-Star schedule
The All-Star Weekend is always jam packed with events and it’s hard to keep up with everything going on, but our Joe Brennan has you covered with the entire schedule of this weeks agenda leading up to the All-Star Game.
No Wemby either
There is one sophomore who has enamored the nation not just because of his height and his presence on the court, but with his play. Victor Wembanyama came into the league and already looked like a super star in his rookie year. This year he has taken it to a new level and made his first of what can only be imagined as many All-Star Games to come. With a game on Sunday, he will sit this one out. Once again, our Joe Brennan has more.
No Bronny tonight
One of the most talked about players of the NBA barley plays in the NBA, but I guess that’s what happens when you are LeBron James’ son and you play on his team. It was the story of the offseason, but it’s not exactly panning out for Bronny who has struggled at times. To be fair he isn’t getting an awful lot of minutes with the Lakers, but he is however putting up nice numbers when playing with the South Bay Lakers in the G League. He’s getting 14.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.3 assist a game in the NBA’s second division and he had the chance to play in the Rising Stars Challenge out of merit for his numbers, but apparently Bronny didn’t want to. It’s hard to blame him after the media circus has followed him everywhere he’s gone. He may want this time to dip out of the lime light and take a few days off.
Team J
Jeremy Lin is the only active player to be coaching in the Rising Stars Challenge. He went undrafted in the 2010 draft but his home town team, the Golden State Warriors picked him up and signed him to a deal. He only spent a year between the Warriors, but in San Fran with the asian culture being so prevalent he became an icon. He would go on to find success with the New York Knicks in an era of the NBA known as Linsanity. He moved around the league before heading to Asia, and he is now with the New Taipei Kings. He was an NBA Champ with the Raptors in 2019, and has certainly left his imprint on the league.
Here is coach Lin’s team
JD Davison (Maine Celtics)
Mac McClung (Osceola Magic)
Bryce McGowens (Rip City Remix)
Leonard Miller (Iowa Wolves)
Dink Pate (Mexico City Capitanes)
Reed Sheppard (Rio Grande Valley Vipers)
Pat Spencer (Santa Cruz Warriors)
Team C
Mullin might have gone down as one of the most famous Warriors ever had it not been for Steph Curry. The sharp shooter was a member for the Dream Team, and the legendary Warriors teams from the late 80s to the late 90s. He would move on to Indiana for a few years and then return to Golden State for the final year of his career. He made five All-Star Games, was an All-NBA First Teamer in 1992 ad ad his jersey retired by the Warriors in 2012.
Here is coach Mullin’s team
Stephon Castle (San Antonio Spurs)
Dalton Knecht (L.A. Lakers)
Jaylen Wells (Memphis Grizzlies)
Keyonte George (Utah Jazz)
Zach Edey (Memphis Grizzlies)
Trayce Jackson-Davis (Golden State Warriors)
Ryan Dunn (Phoenix Suns)*
Team M
Mitch Richmond was drafted by the Warriors back in the late 80s and spent three years in Golden State. He played until the 2002 season when he won his first NBA Championship with the LA Lakers before calling it a career. He was a six time All-Star throughout his career and he won the All-Star Game MVP in 1995.
Here is coach Richmonds’ team
Amen Thompson (Houston Rockets)
Ausar Thompson (Detroit Pistons)*
Bilal Coulibaly (Washington Wizards)
Scoot Henderson (Portland Trail Blazers)*
Toumani Camara (Portland Trail Blazers)*
Yves Missi (New Orleans Pelicans)

Team T
Tim Hardaway was part of the golden age of Golden State before Steph and the Warriors began their dynasty. He was the Warriors first round pick in the 1989 NBA Draft and played there until 1996. His best spells were with the Warriors and the Miami Heat before heading to Dallas ,Denver and retiring as an Indiana Pacer. He was an All-Rookie in his first year in the league, would go on to make the NBA First Team and was selected to the All-Star Game five different times.
Here is coach Hardaway’s team
Brandin Podziemski (Golden State Warriors)*
Jaime Jaquez Jr. (Miami Heat)
Gradey Dick (Toronto Raptors)

The Rising Stars format
For the fourth year in a row, the Rising Stars Challenge will be played in a three-game tournament. Each of the four teams will feature 7 players, broken up by the top G-Leaguers, rookies and sophomores. Rather than a four quarter game that is timed, there will be a target score as each of the semifinal games will be won by the team that scores 40 points first. In the final, which will be played later tonight, the winning team will be the first to score 25 points. The first match up will feature Team Chris Mullin against Team Tim Hardaway and then Team Jeremy Lin will play Team Richmond. The two winners will meet in the title game for a spot in Sunday’s similarly structured All-Star Games.
We are live from Chase Center
Hello everyone and Happy Valentines Day!!! What a better way to spend the year’s most romantic night than with an evening full of basketball.
