Update:

Despite losing out to the unmatched attacking prowess of the Indiana Pacers, the New York Knicks walked away proud of what they achieved in the 2025 NBA Playoffs.

A 4-2 series loss in the Eastern Conference finals for the Knicks did not leave them feeling downtrodden, with their stars positively buoyant after the performances that sparked hopes of a new generation of talent and success in blue and orange.

Jalen Brunson, many people’s top performer throughout, was quick to convey a positive message in the aftermath of the loss that dealt the final blow to any chances of a comeback.

‘There’s not an ounce of any type of doubt’

Asked about his confidence of a resurgence next time around, Brunson quipped that he had “the utmost confidence” in his side, adding that he was even “overconfident, seriously.”

There’s not an ounce of any type of doubt” he confirmed, fired up. “I’m that confident with this group.”

There were “a lot of people saying we couldn’t do a lot of things, a lot of negativity” according to the 28-year-old, who added that “no one sees the type of people we have, the workers we have. That’s what gives me the confidence, and I’m OK with that. I don’t care what people think about us on the outside. I know what we’ve got.”

And it seems his teammates were equally as enthralled by the project, with teammate Karl-Anthony Towns beaming as he admitted it was “an honour” to play alongside Brunson.

“You watch Jalen from afar in the West, and then you see what he’s done for the city,” Towns said. “It’s even more crazy in person. I don’t say it lightly: It’s a blessing and an honour that I get to play with Jalen Brunson”, he said.
