Cameron Brink dazzles for SI Swimsuit with Basketball 101 crash course on her BEEF shooting technique
The Los Angeles Sparks player gives the skinny on her bucket-busting approach.

Cameron Brink, the LA Sparks rising star, may be off court at the moment, as she comes back from the ACL tear that prematurely ended her rookie season, back in June 2024… but she still knows how to land a bucket.
And the 23-year-old let SI Swimsuit in on her technique with a 101 crash course, covering her BEEF approach.
So what is Cameron Brink’s BEEF?
Here’s the breakdown:
B is for Base
The base means your feet are shoulder width apart and you have your balance locked in.
E is for Eyes
Your eyes are aiming towards the rim.
E is for Elbow
Your elbow is at a 90-degree angle.
F is for Follow Through
It’s vital for your hand to follow through after letting the ball go, following it through into the basket.
For Brink, it’s key to “do the same thing every time you shoot, which makes making shots a lot easier.”
However the 6ft 4 inch player from Princeton, New Jersey wasn’t convinced by her own teaching, saying she had “done a really bad job of explaining this.”
When is Cameron Brink expected to play
Brink is expected be back on court this June, a year after she suffered the ACL tear. Before her injury, in the 15 games she played, she averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
The WNBA preseason gets underway this weekend, with the Sparks first in action next Wednesday against the Golden State Valkyries.
