The 2022 NBA preseason will begin overseas tonight when the defending champion Golden State Warriors take on the Washington Wizards in Tokyo on Sept. 30 for the NBA Japan Games 2022. It will be the Warriors’ first time outside of North American since 2022/23, when they played the Timberwolves in Tokyo.

Each NBA plays between four and six preseason games, concluding the preseason on Oct. 14.

How to watch the NBA preseason?

The NBA Japan games will air live in Japan on NBA Rakuten, the NBA Rakuten YouTube channel and Rakuten TV, and in the U.S. on NBA TV and NBC Sports Washington.

As for the rest of the games, the best way to stream the preseason is on DirecTV Stream, which offers a limited free trial, and is the only streaming service that carries YES Network. FuboTV will also be streaming the games, as well as NBA TV and TNT.
