The Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night, hoping to make up for an embarrassing Game 3 loss and level the first round of the playoff series, which the Grizzlies currently lead, 2-1.

Grizzlies: Historic comeback

The Wolves squandered a 26-point lead and allowed Memphis to stage the third-biggest playoff comeback in league history.

Star guard Ja Morant led the stunning victory with the first playoff triple-double in the history of the team, tallying 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

It was a team effort, though, with four others contributing double-digit scores. Desmond Bane had the highest number with 26.

Minnesota’s rollercoaster performance didn’t do them any favors, scoring big in the first quarter and falling flat in the next. The team sank only 34% of their three-point attempts, and were 39% from the field.

The Wolves will need stronger performances from Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell if they are to stop the Grizzlies from leaping ahead in the series.

Memphis is riding on the momentum of its epic 104-95 comeback victory and are slightly favored by oddsmakers to clinch Game 4 and take a dominant 3-1 lead.
