How many times has Draymond Green been suspended in his career? How much has he paid in fines?

The Golden State Warriors player became the main focus in the NBA for his aggression on Phoenix Suns’ Jusuf Nurkić.

Update:
The Golden State Warriors player became the main focus in the NBA for his aggression on Phoenix Suns’ Jusuf Nurkić.

Draymond Green is, again, at the center of controversy. The Golden State Warriors center’s behavior issues episodes seem to have no end and he has become, yet again, the main focus in the NBA due to his unsportsmanlike conduct.

Green was suspended indefinitely by the league on Wednesday, hours after he hit Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face.

The Michigan-bred defensive talent, who received a Flagrant 2 foul and ejection, has been involved in several incidents throughout his career, but that doesn’t seem to prevent him from showcasing these kinds of actions.

Green and Nurkic were battling for position when the Warriors center seemed to lose his balance, but then inexplicably hit Nurkic.

Draymond Green: suspensions and fines

Draymond Green has been suspended twice this season. It’s the sixth time that he has had to deal with a suspension in his career and he has been ejected for the 18th time as a professional, the most among active NBA players.

Only this campaign, Green has been ejected three times, after being in the center of the incidents against Phoenix and Minnesota, as well as picking up two technical fouls against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Without a doubt, the big losers in this incident are the Warriors, who will lose one of their key players for an undefined number of games. That doesn’t help Steve Kerr’s team which is struggling more than expected this term.

The seven-time NBA champions are sitting 11th in the Western Conference standings, with 10 wins and 13 losses.

His behavior issues have translated into big fines for Draymond Green, who has spent a large amount of money as a punishment for his actions.

Green is getting paid $22,321.429 this term, while his career salary will reach 177,883,613 at the end of the 2023-24 season. Out of this amount of money, Dray has forfeited a staggering $2.2 million due to fines.
