Let’s break down the numbers on Shaquille’s salary with TNT as the legend continues to make waves across the NBA world

Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most recognizable figures in all of sports. The four-time NBA champion and Hall of Famer continued to make noise in the world of basketball even after his retirement.

Since 2012, he has been an analyst for TNT’s “Inside the NBA” show. Let’s take a look at how much money Shaq makes from his work with the network:

How much is Shaq’s TNT contract worth?

Over the course of his 19-year career in the NBA, O’Neal earned close to $300 million- an amount that’s almost impossible to earn any other way. Still, what the 51-year-old legend is making with TNT is enough to keep him around for the next decade happily.

In October 2022, rumors were floating around that O’Neal and Charles Barkley, his co-host, would retire from in-game analysis on TNT. Turner Sports then locked down their 4 “Inside the NBA” co-hosts for the foreseeable future, securing Shaquille O’Neal, Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson for at least a few more years.

According to reports, Shaq will be earning $10 million per year before tax. That means that by the time he’s 60, Shaq will be making a total of $100 million from just his TNT contract.

O’Neal has always shared how he feels about working for TNT. He once said, My worst day at TNT would be good. My worst day at ESPN would cause me to get fired.”

During his NBA career, O’Neal played for six different teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat. He won four rings combined and earned $292 million from his contracts in the league.
