KD wants Steve Nash out of the Brooklyn Nets after meeting with team owner Joe Tsai
After two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, Kevin Durant appears to have grown tired of playing under Steve Nash.
According to information provided to Shams Charania by The Athletic, superstar player Kevin Durant has informed the owner of the Brooklyn Nets organization, Joe Tsai, that he will continue to want a trade from the company unless head coach Steve Nash and general manager Sean Marks are dismissed.
According to reports, Durant issued the ultimatum because he had lost confidence in how the team had been led.
After a dismal season that resulted in an early departure from the playoffs, the player who had previously won the Most Valuable Player award asked to be traded at the end of June. At the time, there was little information available regarding the motivations for his choice.
Charania stated that the meeting that took place on Saturday was “transparent and professional,” and that the Nets have “direct knowledge of the reasons behind Durant’s request.” Additionally, the Nets are aware that Durant will continue to be “resolute” in his pursuit of a trade.
