Kyrie Irving was simply unstoppable in the first half of the Brooklyn Nets’ game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Play-in Tournament.

He delivered a flawless nine-for-nine performance, racking up a total of 20 points as the team’s lead scorer, ending with a thrilling buzzer-beater heading into halftime.

The tandem of Irving and Kevin Durant simply sizzled, with Durant recording 12 points on 4/5 shooting, the two of them combining for an impressive 13/14 tally from the field.

The Nets led at the half, 57-43.

The record for most points ever scored in a game with a 100% field-goal percentage is 42, delivered by Wilt Chamberlain in 1967.

Irving finally misses at 13th shot

In the second half Irving continued in his fine vein of shooting form, hitting his first two baskets, before finally missing his 13th attempt. Performances in the Play-In Tournament do not count as the Play-Offs, however if they did this would have been a Play-Off record from Irving. Instead he’ll have to settle for a Play-In record.
