Lakers vs Warriors previous games: What happened in the 2023 regular season?

Los Angeles and Golden State will collide in the playoffs’ second round in one of the most interesting series after defeating Memphis and Sacramento.

They struggled until the very end but they managed to come out on top. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors needed the seventh game of their NBA first-round playoff series to advance to the next stage of the competition.

Los Angeles took the lead against the Grizzlies, and although Memphis came back in Game 2, Lebron James & co. added two more wins for Darvin Ham’s team that left their opponents with no error margin.

Despite winning Game 5, Memphis ended up being eliminated by the Lakers (4-2) thanks to a solid performance by King James, Anthony Davis, and D’Angelo Russell.

Meanwhile, the Warriors lost their two first games to the Kings but came back and took the lead by winning three consecutive games.

Mike Brown’s side, though, wouldn’t throw in the towel and tied the series at Chase Center, but Steph Curry led Golden State to the victory in Game 7 by scoring 50 points in a performance to remember.

Lakers vs Warriors in the regular season

Will the well-oiled Warriors machine be too much for the Lakers or will Lebron James’ clutch skills make the difference against the Warriors?

It’s difficult to predict who will keep advancing and who will be eliminated, but what seems a sure thing is that the fans are the clear winners of this series.

Although the current NBA champions might be the slight favorites to come out on top based on their compact squad, LA have dominated Golden State during the regular season, winning three of their four matches.

Their first clash took place in October when the Warriors grabbed the win at home (109-123), but the 17-time NBA titleholders avenged their loss by emerging victorious at Chase Center (109-103).

The Lakers took the lead in this season’s head-to-head by winning 111-124, although Lebron and Davis only scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Ham’s side recorded their third win over the Warriors in March with a 105-113 final score in front of their fans in a game where James didn’t feature and AD scored 39 points.
