As much as the Lakers have an extensive injury report, the silver lining is that those on it are all listed as probable. In a must win game, expect everybody to play.

There are concerns over the health of Lakers star player, LeBron James, but this has become old news now with James having struggled with the same problem for months now. With the team’s back against the wall, it’s highly unlikely that James or any of the other key figures will be rested despite their niggling problems.

LeBron James listed as probable for Play-In clash with Timberwolves

According to the Los Angeles Lakers lengthy injury report, LeBron James has been listed as probable ahead of their Play-In showdown with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Indeed, James has been suffering with right foot soreness for some time now and has turned up on the injury report with a similar status on numerous occasions. With that in mind, we can’t imagine this time around will be any different in that the team needs to win i.e., James is going to play.

Consider for a moment that right here and now the Lakers have an opportunity to secure the No. 7 seed, which would see them face the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. Should they lose against Timberwolves, they will then have to face the winner of the Pelicans vs Thunder game for a chance at the No. 8 seed, which as you can imagine will mean less rest and more risk. The good thing is that as mentioned before, those on the injury report have all been listed as probable. That includes Anthony Davis who has been dealing with a right foot stress injury and D’Angelo Russell who has had to contest with left foot soreness.

The Timberwolves are healthy but missing Rudy Gobert

By now you probably know that Timberwolves star, Rudy Gobert, was sent home during the team’s last game after he punched his teammate Kyle Anderson. Needless to say, Gobert has since been suspended meaning Minnesota will have to face LA without their biggest star. What that means is that the Lakers have a good shot at securing that coveted No. 7 seed. On the other hand, aside from Gobert’s absence the Timberwolves are fully fit, while LeBron and Co. aren’t. This one is going to be interesting.
