NBA fans make it clear who claims the most popular player title
The NBA have run the numbers on social media and there’s one clear favourite when it comes to the most views.

NBA fans have voted with their clicks, and have chosen LeBron James as the most popular player in basketball’s elite over the 2024-25 season.
The LA Lakers legend saw a total of 3.23 billion page views on social media and digital platforms during an intense campaign that witnessed a huge upturn in form for the team after the striking addition of former Mavs star Luka Doncic.
The NBA released the figures as the regular season concluded. A very intriguing postseason period begins, with the Golden State Warriors, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic and the Chicago Bulls all battling it out in the play-in round.

In the top three sit LeBron James (3.23B views), Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry (2.56B views) and the Lakers’ Luka Dončić (1.82B views), who sit ahead of Victor Wembanyama (1.47B views) and the Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokić (1.20B views), making up the rest of the top 5.
