As you probably know the NBA’s Summer League will tip off with the California Classic and that’s why we’re taking a look at exactly who is playing and when. So, with no further delays, let’s get into the details.

Where is the NBA Summer League

As we said before, this year the NBA’s Summer League tournament will start in Sacramento with the California Classic, and then it will head to Utah for the Salt Lake City Summer League. Once that’s done, teams will all head to Las Vegas for the big finale: the NBA 2K24 Summer League. Needless to say, it’s gonna be a wild ride with one of the most exciting Draft classes in some time. With the likes of Victor Wembanyama, Scoot Henderson, and Brandon Miller to name a few, it’s going to be a thrilling showcase of the next generation of NBA stars.

So, what’s up with the California Classic?

The NBA Summer League 2023 will begin with the Sacramento Kings hosting the fifth annual California Classic at the Golden 1 Center on July, 3rd and 5th. Alongside the hosts will be the Charlotte Hornets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, and San Antonio Spurs. As you will see in the full schedule below, the tournament will start off with a replay of the 2020 NBA Finals when the Heat go up against the Lakers at 3:00 p.m. ET on Day 1, however, we all know that the showpiece event will be when Victor Wembanyama hopefully makes his NBA debut in the game between the Spurs and the Hornets, at 5:00 p.m. ET. It’s definitely worth mentioning, that the game could also feature the debut of Charlotte’s new star as well, No. 2 overall pick Brandon Miller of Alabama. Should that be the case, then expect fireworks when they go head-to-head on July 7th. Below you can see the full schedule for the California Classic.
