Miami took the lead 2-1 on Saturday night after fighting off a rally and prevailing over the Celtics 109-103 in Game 3. The Heat started off with a lead of over twenty points, which served as a good buffer as the game progressed. They needed that wiggle room after their star player Jimmy Butler bowed out of the game in the third quarter due to a knee injury.

The top seed in the East managed without Butler with center Bam Adebayo leading the way offensively with 31 points and 10 rebounds, and Kyle Lowry providing key defensive plays.

The Celtics were able to slash the lead with strong performances from Jaylen Brown who tallied 40 points, and Al Horford who contributed 20, but they were not able to prevent the Heat from eventually clinching a win on the road.
