Why did Steph Curry hit out at Warriors fans on social media?
The Warriors star made it clear that he’s had enough of the critique from fans on social media. The question that remains, however, is can the team win?

It would be fair to say that the Warriors are nowhere close to what they once were i.e., a dynasty team that dismantled all who came challenging. It’s with that as the context that many have called for changes. Steph Curry doesn’t see it that way.
Steph Curry hits back at social media critics
The Golden State Warriors are currently in 10th place in the Western Conference with a record of 20-20. For a team that lost just 29 games in the entire season in 2021 and won an NBA championship in that same campaign, it’s hard to understand how only four years later this is where they are. Naturally, that has led many to call for change, with some even questioning whether the team’s biggest star should be traded. As you can imagine such notions have not been well received least of all by the man himself, Steph Curry.
Following the Warriors’ latest game, a tight 116-115 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night, Curry didn’t hold back when appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter. Indeed, the 36-year-old sharpshooter ripped those he referred to as ‘Twitter fingers’ who have been repeatedly asking for trades while belittling the team during a period of struggle.
“All the Twitter fingers who’s got deals we need to make can kind of shut up a little bit and let us figure this thing out. We know we can be competitive. We showed that toughness tonight. Obviously, every team is trying to find ways to get better. For us, you know, we’ve been great for a long time. This is just a unique year where we have to be able to stay relevant to give ourselves a chance. Just have some life in a playoff series. We have a whole lot of confidence that we can beat anybody,” Curry said.
To be fair, there has indeed been a sense of panic among the Dubs fans especially after what was perceived as a lack of effort in the wake of a loss to the Toronto Raptors earlier this season. On the other hand, if there is one player who deserves some wiggle room, it’s got to be Steph Curry. Where trades are concerned, while the Warriors do still have a capable roster, there is no way to hide from the fact that the team has underperformed in recent seasons, such that one could argue that a refresh would go a long way. Nonetheless, we can only wait and see. As for the fans, the Chef has spoken.
