Why isn’t Donovan Mitchell playing against the Celtics in game 4 today?
The Cleveland Cavaliers have a massive matchup against the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semis, but will be without two of their stars.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have a pivotal game in their second round series with the top seeded Boston Celtics trailing 2-1 heading into Game 4. They were already without Jared Allen, and now they will be without their top scorer, Donovan Mitchell.
Cavs lose Mitchell to calf strain
Mitchell was ruled out of Game 4 with a calf strain about an hour before tip off from Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, leaving the Cavs with a terribly short handed squad for their massive matchup tonight.

The man they call Spida is averting 31.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists against the Celtics and has carried the Cavs in many of their wins through the early parts of the postseason.
To make matters worse Jarrett Allen will also miss Monday night’s game as he continues to nurse a rib injury that has kept him out since Game 5 of the first round. Cleveland will now rely on Caris LeVert, Darius Garland and Evan Mobley to carry them to victory, but the Cavs record without Mitchell is just 12-15 this season.
