Following a bad fall in game 1, there were fears that the Bucks would have to see out the rest of the series without their biggest star. Fortunately for Milwaukee, that’s not the case and with the series precariously balanced at 2-1 in Miami’s favor, this could well be the turning point that they hoped for.

Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo to play in Game 4

According to reports, the Milwaukee Bucks will see the return of their star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, when they take on the Miami Heat on Monday night in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series. Antetokounmpo has of course been absent for the last two games of the series, after suffering an awkward fall during the first quarter of Game 1, which resulted in a back contusion. As per reports, Antetokounmpo was even seen taking shots at Monday morning’s shoot around, a clear indication that he is operating pain-free.

Regarding how the injury occurred, the two-time MVP drove to the ring during the early stages of Game 1′s first quarter, but was unfortunately bumped by the Heat’s Kevin Love en route. Love’s apparent attempt to draw a charging foul ended up working to Giannis’ detriment when the Bucks star fell to the ground unable to break his fall. It was immediately obvious that the Bucks star was in pain as he clasped at his lower back. Interestingly, he remained in the game for a period of time, however, he made his way directly to the locker room at the end of the first quarter and was later ruled out completely by the team.

Can the Bucks turn the series around?

While nothing is promised, it goes without saying that Giannis’ return is a big deal for the Bucks who are currently trailing the Heat 2-1. Having come into the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and with the best record in the league, it goes without saying that the Bucks are a different ball-game when Giannis is on the court. That’s not taking anything away from the Heat who have played impressively up to this point, but one has to imagine that with Antetokounmpo back, there is every chance that the Bucks could overturn the early deficit that they face. Keep an eye on them tonight!
