2024 March Madness Selection Sunday: times, how to watch on TV, stream online | NCAA basketball

68 teams will take part in the NCAA colleague basketball tournament, with rankings and seedings for the event to be announced.

The biggest basketball tournament in collegiate sports - and Selection Sunday - is upon us, with 68 teams gearing up to challenge to become the NCAA Division I national champions for 2023/24. This year, the March Madness kicks off on Tuesday 19 March, with the First Four to determine the 64 teams that will advance to the main tournament.

The tournament itself begins on Thursday, 21 March, with a full slate of games throughout the day and into the night. The Final Four of this year’s edition will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.

What time does March Madness Selection Sunday start? How can I watch it?

The NCAA Selection Committee will reveal which teams are taking part in the men’s tournament, the bracket and matchups for March Madness on Sunday 17 March. The Selection Sunday show will start at 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT) and will be broadcast in the United States on CBS and Paramount Plus.

The field for the women’s tournament, which runs from Wednesday 20 March to Sunday 7 April, will be announced at 8:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. PT) on Sunday 17 March and broadcast live on both ESPN and fuboTV.

After the committee has selected the 68 teams participating in the tournament, they will be grouped into four regions and given a seeding from 1 to 16 based on their overall ranking, ahead of the fun starting on Tuesday 19 March.
