Semifinal Saturday is upon us from Indianapolis. It’s Michigan and Arizona in the late tip off of the Final Four with one spot in Monday’s title game up for grabs.
Clash of the titans in Indy
Last year there were four one seeds that made the Final Four. This year there just two and they will meet tonight in the the second of two games from Lucas Oil Stadium. It’s the Big 12’s best team taking on the Big Ten’s top side in a heavyweight battle.
Michigan come into tonight having blown past the competition in the NCAA Tournament. Their closes contest came against Alabama in the Sweet 16 when they beat the Crimson Tide by 13. This comes after Michigan went 21-2 in Big Ten play, but lost the Conference Tournament to Purdue right before getting a one seed in the Big Dance.
After a two loss regular season and a Big 12 Conference Tournament title over Houston, the Wildcats entered the Tournament as a one seed. Purdue gave them their toughest test in the tourney, but it was a comfortable 15 point win in the Elite Eight to secure their spot in the Final Four.
