No NFL MNF tonight? The CFP National Championship is about to steal the spotlight: How to watch Miami vs Indiana
At Hard Rock Stadium today, the Indiana Hoosiers and the Miami Hurricanes will do battle for college football’s national title.
The top seed comes up against a double-digit seed in the 2025-26 College Football Playoff National Championship Game, as the Indiana Hoosiers and the Miami Hurricanes face off at Hard Rock Stadium.
Indiana Hoosiers vs Miami Hurricanes: game preview
Ranked at No. 10 when this year’s playoffs kicked off on Dec. 20, the 13-2 Hurricanes are the first twin-digit seed to contest the national title since the CFP’s 12-team format was introduced.
After wins over Texas A&M and the Ohio State Buckeyes - seeded at No. 7 and No. 2, respectively - Miami continued to upset the odds in the semifinals on Jan. 8. In the Fiesta Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia, the Hurricanes booked their place in the National Championship Game with a 31-27 win over the six-seeded Ole Miss Rebels.
Chasing its first national crown since 2001, Miami is the first team to play the CFP showpiece game at its home stadium.
The 15-0 Hoosiers, meanwhile, are in pursuit of their maiden U.S. title. Fresh from winning the Big Ten championship at the beginning of December, Indiana has breezed into the CFP decider with two comprehensive victories.
On New Year’s Day, the Alabama Crimson Tide were dispatched 38-3 in the quarterfinals. On Jan. 9, Curt Cignetti’s men then defeated the Oregon Ducks 56-22 in the Peach Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.

Although Miami has made a habit of upending expectations, Indiana is, as the No. 1 seed, the bookmakers’ clear favorite. Per the betting comparison website Oddshecker, the Hoosiers have moneyline odds of -320 to win their first national title, while the Hurricanes are priced at +260.
