Will Arch Manning enter the draft or will he stay with the Texas Longhorns one more year?

Many experts feel the 19-year-old will stay in college longer than other prospects given the recent trend of young talents not breaking through in the NFL.

With a celebrated NFL surname, pressure and expectation will always have been high for Arch Manning who is Texas Longhorns QB.

Arch Manning forms part of this NFL family dynasty and is the grandson of Archie Manning who spent the majority of his career playing for the New Orleans Saints.

He’s also the son of Cooper Manning, and nephew of Peyton and Eli and became the third generation of Mannings to play quarterback in the SEC as a member of the Texas Longhorns playing his first game earlier this year 2024 (the Longhorns’ first season in the SEC after moving from the Big XII).

Manning for the Draft?

The 19-year-old has impressed for the Longhorns this season and despite not being eligible for the NFL Draft until 2026, some may feel, he may spend another year in college given the high failure rate of younger players to create a meaningful impact with their NFL teams.

The New Orleans born quarterback has played less than ten games for Texas but such is the level of expectation thrust upon him with the name on the back of his jersey, the college star is on the radar of every NFL team career, he has played only seven games, so his path to the NFL is still in its early stages. Nevertheless, his talent and family history make him one of the most watched players by professional teams.
