2022/23 NFL Conference Championship: schedule, games, times, bracket, teams

The NFL Divisional Round is over and the stage has been set for the Conference Championship. Who is facing who in the fight for a slot at the Super Bowl?

The NFL Divisional Round has wrapped up and only four teams remain standing to compete in the Conference Championship. It’s a case of deja vu as three of these squads also made it to this stage last year- the San Francisco 49ers, the Kansas City Chiefs, and Super Bowl finalists the Cincinnati Bengals. The Philadelphia Eagles are the new faces in the group, vying for the NFC Championship for the first time in six years.

The 49ers foiled the Dallas Cowboys’ attempt to end a 27-year streak of failing to make it to a conference title competition, and will face the Eagles, who will play host. The Eagles earned their slot after dominating the New York Giants 38-7 in the divisional round.

The NFC Conference Championship finalists have come up against each other in the playoffs only once before, in 1996, when San Francisco kept Philadelphia scoreless, 14-0, in the wild card round.

The 49ers vs. Eagles showdown will take place on Sunday, Jan. 29, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The game kicks off at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT.

AFC Conference Championship: Bengals vs Chiefs

Over at the AFC, Joe Burrow will go head-to-head with Patrick Mahomes, in a rematch of a Week 13 game between the Bengals and the Chiefs, which Cincinnati won. These two teams have played each other in three games since January of last year, and Burrow’s squad thwarted that of Mahomes in all instances.
