2024 NFL Pro Bowl: What are the seven unique skills competitions players will compete in?

On Thursday, February 1, the Pro Bowl Games will start with the Skills Showdown in Orlando. Some of the skills competitions will return to the program.

Pro Bowl Games skills competition live online: NFL Thursday Showdown updates, scores and results

Below is a summary of all the events that will take place during the Skills Showdown, which is part of the NFL Pro Bowl weekend, and having the competitors from the AFC and NFC.

Each competition will award three points to the winning conference, which will be added to the total score of Sunday’s events.

Precision Passing

In this event, three quarterbacks from each conference will attempt to hit as many targets as possible within a minute. The conference with the highest cumulative score will earn three points. There will be ten targets that will either be static or attached to robotic dummies and drones, and each target will have a point value ranging from one to five points.

Best Catch

Best Catch will showcase one player from each conference, highlighting their ingenuity, inventiveness, and talent. Fans will vote online to determine their favorite catch, and the player with the most votes will earn three points for their conference.

Closest to the Pin

This golf accuracy competition will feature six players from each conference. They will drive the golf ball as close to the hole as possible. The winners will earn three points for their conference.

High Stakes

In this game, players will start with a football. They will then attempt to catch punts from a JUGS machine without dropping any footballs. If a player successfully catches a football without dropping any others, they will advance to the next round and attempt to catch another football. The player who catches the most footballs without dropping any others will be the winner.

Dodgeball

There will be a classic dodgeball tournament comprising four teams of five players. The tournament will consist of multiple rounds. In the first match, the AFC offense will compete against the NFC defense, and in the second game, the NFC offense will compete against the AFC defense. The winning teams will earn three points for their respective conferences. The winning teams will earn three points for their respective conferences.

Kick Tac Toe

Each team’s kicker will compete in a game of giant Tic-Tac-Toe. The first kicker to connect three squares in a row or hit five squares in total will earn three points for their conference.

Snap Shots

This new skill-based competition is designed to showcase the abilities of long snappers and centers. Participants will snap balls at targets of varying sizes and point values to score points. The competition will feature long snappers and centers battling it out to hit targets of different sizes and worth various points.
