Amon-Ra St. Brown shocked by this teams signings in free agency “they have unlimited f***ing money”
The Chicago Bears have been one of the most active teams in the early stages of free agency, and their signings are raising eyebrow around the NFL.

The Chicago Bears are looking to revamp their roster after a five-win season last year, and they have wasted no time doing so. They have been one of the most active teams in the NFL’s offseason as they look to bring in a new era from the Windy City.
Protecting the QB a top priority
It hasn’t just been a frustrating last year for Bears fans around the nation. it’s been a rough decade. In fact the, 21st century isn’t treating them too well. Realistically, the Bears have been in the dumps since their 1985 Super Bowl season. Since that title winning year, the Bears have been to the playoffs just 12 times, and have just six playoff years in those 40 years.
Things are starting to turn around in Chicago, or that’s what the Bears faithful will be hoping for. The makeover started last year when they drafted QB Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick. Williams had a rough rookie year, getting sacked 68 times, more than any other QB in the league. One of the main focuses this offseason is finding lineman to protect the face of their franchise.

They have brought in two guards, Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson through trades. They signed center Drew Dalman, and a couple of guys on the defensive line, EDGE Dayo Ogeyingbo and tackle Grady Jarrett. Needless to say the money they are throwing around has raised more than a few eye brows around the league.
Endless pockets in Chi-Town?
One of those people who has been left in awe by the Bears moves is Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Detroit Lions WR sees the Bears twice a year being an NFC North rival, and he can’t believe what is going down in the Windy City.

Once again, the Bears are making some big moves in free agency. pic.twitter.com/gv41Opg96S
“I feel like the Bears have unlimited f---ing money,” said St. Brown on his On the St. Brown Podcast. “This s--- is crazy. They’re just signing new s--- for like $40-50 million. Joe Thuney, boom. Jonah Jackson, bang. Drew Dalman, bang. Dayo Odeyingbo, another crazy amount of money. Grady Jarrett, bang. They’re just breaking everybody off. They have unlimited money. What the f---- is this?... Ben is just making moves left and right.”
The Bears disposable cap cash is largely attributed to bad draft picks over the last few years. They are choosing pass on paying players they have been drafring once their rookie contracts end. That keeps them from having to pay big money, but forces the team to dip into free agency. The other big factor is having their QB Caleb Williams still on a rookie contract, much like the San Francisco 49ers have had he luxury of with Brock Purdy over the last few years.
