It’s the finale of Monday Night Football and the matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals is slated to be one of the season’s most exciting games.

With two of the best teams this season slugging it out, oddsmakers are predicting a very close game.

Super Bowl favorites

The Bills (12-3) have been considered the favorites to win the Super Bowl since preseason, and are coming into Week 17 riding a six-game winning streak. They rank fourth in offense in the NFL in terms of points scored per game at 29. The team has delivered two consecutive 30-point performances against the Miami Dolphins (32-29) and the Chicago Bears (35-13).

Their defense is ranked second only to the San Francisco Giants, with an average of 17.5 points allowed per game.

Sizzling-hot Bengals

The Bengals (11-4), however, are currently the hottest team in the NFL, one-upping Buffalo with seven consecutive victories of their own. They began the season 0-2 but they have hit their stride and are showing the form that took them all the way to the Super Bowl in February. Joe Burrow’s team has also not suffered a defeat in its home arena since Week 1.

The game between two teams who are still in the running for AFC No. 1 seed has therefore been too close to call easily, with analysts split between the home and the road squads. Oddsmakers are giving the Bills a slight advantage in what is expected to be an extremely entertaining conclusion to this season’s Monday Night Football primetime offerings.
