Broncos fans having field day with resurfaced photo of Josh Allen’s wife, Hailee Steinfeld
As Buffalo prepares to face the Denver Broncos in the Divisional Round this weekend, a resurfaced photo of Bills QB Josh Allen’s wife has gone viral.
As Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills prepare to travel to Denver for a high-stakes Divisional Round matchup against the Broncos, an unexpected storyline has popped up off the field, and Bills fans aren’t exactly thrilled about it.
The spotlight has turned to Allen’s wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld, who is pregnant withe the couple’s first child, after old photos and social media posts resurfaced showing her openly cheering for the Broncos years before she ever met the Bills’ franchise quarterback.

Steinfeld’s allegiance has changed, but Broncos fans will troll
On January 14, a viral post from the MLFootball X account reignited the conversation. The account reposted a photo of Steinfeld at a Broncos game in 2016, celebrating Denver’s Super Bowl victory with a caption that read:
“HELL YEAH BRONCOS!!!! 💥”

That image, taken when the Broncos won Super Bowl 50, quickly made the rounds online as Denver fans embraced it and Bills fans winced.
Steinfeld wasn’t in attendance for the Bills’ Wild Card win over Jacksonville on January 11 as she was attending the Golden Globe Awards, but her potential presence this weekend has only intensified the chatter about where her football loyalties once stood.
Why was Hailee Steinfeld a Broncos fan?
At first glance, Steinfeld’s Broncos fandom seems random. She grew up in California, not Colorado, and has no known geographic ties to Denver. But back in 2016, when the photo was taken, Los Angeles did not have an NFL team, leaving many Southern California fans without a hometown allegiance.
At the time, the Broncos were led by Peyton Manning, one of the most popular and widely followed quarterbacks of his era. Denver’s Super Bowl run was one of the biggest sports stories in the country, drawing in casual fans well beyond Colorado. Like many NFL followers without a local team, Steinfeld gravitated toward a high-profile contender at the time.
Of course, any suggestion that Steinfeld would root against her husband is purely hypothetical. There’s no question she supports Josh Allen and the Bills now, particularly as Buffalo continues its push toward a long-awaited Super Bowl appearance.
