Can the Green Bay Packers still make the playoffs? What are the chances?
The Green Bay Packers stand at 4-8 after losing seven of their last eight games, and need nothing less than a miracle to make it to the playoffs.
It’s been a tough 2022 NFL season for the Green Bay Packers, and after their Sunday loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, it looks like their chances of making it to the postseason are close to nil.
They currently have a 4-8 record and are at 11th place in the NFC standings. The Packers have five games left and even Aaron Rodgers admits the situation looks dire, although he still wants to fight.

Green Bay needs a miracle
“We need to win all five and probably need a little help,” the quarterback said. “As long as we’re mathematically alive, I’d like to be out there.”
The defending back-to-back MVP has not shown his award-winning form this season, and is apparently feeling the absence of wide receiver Davante Adams, who has been traded to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Bleak playoff picture for the Packers
FiveThirtyEight, which provides NFL predictions, gives Green Bay only a three percent chance of making the playoffs as they stand. And even if they do win all their remaining games, the forecasting site only gives them a 45% chance of reaching the postseason.
The New York Times playoff predictor is a little more generous and gives the Packers a five percent chance of making it past the regular season, although like FiveThirtyEight, it also believes that the team has less than 50% chances of reaching the playoffs even if they somehow manage a sweep of their remaining games.
ESPN Stats & Info are even more pessimistic about the squad’s chances, which they place at only two percent.
Green Bay will next face the Chicago Bears on the road, then the Los Angeles Rams at home, and the Miami Dolphins in Florida. They will then have two consecutive home games against the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions.
