Update:

Week 10’s Sunday Night Football matchup brought the Los Angeles Chargers face-to-face with the Pittsburgh Steelers at SoFi Stadium - a game that proved historic for the Bolts.

Allen’s all-time achievement

Veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen etched his name into the franchise record books, reaching 956 career receptions, the most in Chargers history.

The Chargers came out on top with a 25-10 victory in a game that turned into a nightmare for Pittsburgh’s offense, led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers had his worst outing of the season, managing just one touchdown pass - a 27-yard strike to Roman Wilson with 2:57 left in the fourth quarter. He completed 16 of 31 passes for 161 yards, was sacked three times, and threw two interceptions.

Pittsburgh struck first, leading 3-0 in the opening quarter. But momentum shifted dramatically when Rodgers fumbled near his own end zone, recovered the ball, and was tackled for a safety by the Chargers’ defense. From that point on, the Steelers were playing uphill.

On the other side of the ball, Justin Herbert delivered a steady performance for Los Angeles, throwing for 220 yards and a touchdown to rookie receiver Ladd McConkey. Herbert completed 20 of 33 passes and added 19 rushing yards on five carries, though he was sacked five times. Kicker Cameron Dicker was clutch, converting field goals from 32, 59, and 42 yards to help seal the win.

Allen’s milestone came on just two catches, but they were enough to surpass Hall of Famer Antonio Gates as the Chargers’ all-time leader in receptions - a monumental achievement for one of the league’s most consistent playmakers.

What’s next for the Chargers and Steelers?

Looking ahead to Week 11 of the NFL season, the Steelers host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, while the Chargers hit the road to face the Jacksonville Jaguars.
