The Cincinnati Bengals are 9-4 and looking like strong contenders to make a deep run into the playoffs. They still need to have a few things start to click for them if they want to may a return appearance in the Super Bowl, but their win over the Chiefs in Week 13 shows that they can play with the best of them when firing on all cylinders.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on the other hand are having a rough time getting anything to work for them at all. In a deeply depressing NFC South, where they are top of the heap with a losing record, they drew some solace from their win over the dismal Saints, breaking their run of bad mojo against New Orleans. Thoughts that they had turned a corner, however, were put to bed last week when they were toyed with by a 49ers team who were superior in every facet of the game, from soup to nuts.

Cincinnati Bengals

This late in the season, it is no surprise that the Bengals’ biggest foe is injury. With Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd both out, their aerial attack will be blunted. Add to that the way that Cincinnati tend to struggle on the road, and you can expect lower than usual production out of Burrow and the boys.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs are wobbled and confused, not normally headed into the back end of a season without a solid game plan to get them to the depths of the playoffs. Nothing seems to have clicked this season for Tampa and they are just hanging on with a losing record. The only reason that they are top of the division is that the rest of the teams in the NFC South are perhaps the worst three in the NFL this season.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers: our prediction

Cincinnati’s defense has been spongy and will give ground to Brady. Ultimately, the lack of connection on the Tampa side of the ball will be their undoing, more than anything that the Bengals D throws at them. It isn’t all doom and gloom for the Bengals, however, and they will be able to put up a touchdown or two in each half, which should be enough for them to take the win.
