Cowboys shut down CeeDee Lamb for remainder of NFL season
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will miss the remainder of the NFL season with a shoulder injury as they prepare to face the Eagles in Week 17.

The Dallas Cowboys have nothing left to play for this season (except their pride) after being officially eliminated from the postseason last week. Although the team refuses to lie down and stop trying for the sake of a higher draft pick, they do realize there’s no point in risking their starters for no reason.
CeeDee Lamb to miss remainder of NFL season
Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has been playing through a shoulder injury this whole season. Last week, despite the fact that the Cowboys were eliminated from the playoffs before their game, Lamb still started in their victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and it was clear he was hurting.
This week, the Cowboys face the Philadelphia Eagles, who they could potentially prevent from locking up the NFC East crown if they pull off a win. However, that’s not exactly worth risking Lamb’s health. Lamb sat out from practice on Wednesday and was not present for the media viewing portion of practice on Thursday.
Now, the Cowboys have announced that Lamb will be sidelined for the remainder of this season.

Lamb finishes the season third in receiving yards with 1,195 and has six touchdowns on 101 receptions. He will miss the Cowboys' final two games against the Eagles and Washington Commanders.
