Dallas delight: Cowboys equalled a nearly two-decade-old mark in Thursday’s Thanksgiving triumph
With their win over the Chiefs, the Cowboys strengthened their Thanksgiving record and boosted their NFC playoff prospects.

With Thursday’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs at AT&T Stadium, the Cowboys added a Thanksgiving milestone: for the first time in a long while, Dallas has strung together four straight victories on this uniquely American holiday.
It’s been nearly two decades since Dallas last pulled off four consecutive Thanksgiving Day wins. That streak, now renewed with the triumph over the Chiefs, mirrors what they accomplished from 2006 to 2009 when they beat the Buccaneers, Jets, Seahawks, and Raiders in back-to-back holiday matchups.
And what further excites Cowboys fans as the season heads into its final stretch is that Thursday’s victory also made another piece of history: Dallas became the first team ever to defeat both participants from the previous Super Bowl in such a short time span.

Five glorious days for the Cowboys
Just last Sunday, the Cowboys knocked off the reigning NFL champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, with a 24-21 win in Week 12. Now, they’ve added the Chiefs to that list, earning a 31-28 victory that could prove pivotal on multiple fronts.
Beating last year’s runners-up gives Dallas a legitimate shot at an NFC Wild Card berth, while the loss complicates Kansas City’s outlook as the season winds down.
