Reddit erupts over a toddler’s uncanny ability to throw a perfect football spiral, but asks a few pointed questions.

Future NFL quarterback? Watch this ‘1-year-old’ boy throw spirals like a pro

A clip of a dad playing catch with his ‘1-year-old’ son has some of the internet spiraling, literally. In the now semi-viral Reddit video, the toddler grips a soft toy football, squares up, and hurls rather tight, clean spirals back to his dad sat on a nearby sofa,
“Oh my god! A spiral,” responds the clearly proud dad. The mom, on the sidelines, offers coaching advice – making sure the ball always goes back to dad, not her.
Doubts over age and ‘talent source’
But it’s not just the kid’s throw that’s grabbing attention. You know what social media is like.
The forum had plenty of comments, and several focused on the kid’s age. “That ain’t a one year old,” came the accusation, backed up by another: “Zero chance. 2.5–3+,”
Another joked the dad may have just discovered that his wife had had an affair with a legend of the game.
“What a crazy way to find out your wife cheated on you with Tom Brady,” suggested mischievous West_Look4818, with another noting “He finds the laces every time,” and someone else providing the neat “Tom Baby” moniker.
Of course, not everyone was impressed with the kid’s overall game. “Too bad he can’t catch for shit,” said armchair coach neverfoil.
Whether he’s one or almost preschool, one thing’s clear: this lad’s arm is showing some early promise. No doubt the Cowboys will be already eyeing up an early pick in the 2050 NFL draft.
