Gronkowski and Edelman give their take on Belichick’s wedding: “It’s not gonna happen if we bring him on a bachelor party”

Former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick raised more than a few eyebrows when he unveiled his new partner. Belichick, who will turn 74 next month, met Jordon Hudson on a flight in February 2021. He was still in a long-term relationship with Linda Holliday at the time but sparks must have flown as he and Hudson became an item two years later.

The 49-year age gap hasn’t been a problem for Bill and Jordon, a Miss Maine contestant. There has even been talk that wedding bells could be on the horizon - ex-players Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman say they will be ready to join in the pre-nuptial festivities if their old boss ties the knot.

Gronkowski and Edelman claim, with typical humor, they would be in charge of organizing throw a bachelor party if it ever happens.

“We would bring him on the bachelor trip, we wouldn’t go to the wedding” Edelman explained when quizzed by People this week.

Gronkowski chipped in, “Yeah, let’s go to the bachelor party. Yeah, we’re gonna throw it! It’s not going to happen if we bring him on a bachelor trip!”

Both former players have defended Belichick and shown their understanding and support his romantic conquests in the past. They discussed it in their Dudes on Dudes podcast last month.

“Coach Belichick and this whole interview thing... People are giving an unfair reality of what’s going on,” Edelman began. “Because she was jumping into that conversation during the interview, just like any PR person. And would jump in whenever there was an unnecessary question that probably didn’t go over in the pre-production meeting. From what I’ve heard, Jordon is playing the Berj role - handling all the football ops, handling a lot of his social, all of his PR... When you look at his situation and you say, ‘Oh this is his girlfriend, jumping in,’ I think that’s unfair. I think she’s actually working with coach Belichick in the professional world and she probably went and say, ‘Hey, no. We’re not doing that’”.

He turned to Gronk and asked: “Doesn’t that always happen whenever you do an interview? Do you not have a representative there?”

He replied: “Yeah, she’s become his representative - on top of being a girlfriend. No one’s really put this hand in hand together - when your name is Jordon and you’re on the University of North Carolina, Tar Heels’ campus, you’re God! You’re untouchable if your name is Jordon!”.
