SUPER BOWL LVII

How long was the Super Bowl 2023 national anthem?

It’s a variation on the famous tune and song every year, with one exception, and there’s always plenty of interest in how long it lasts.

Follow the Super Bowl LVII between the Chiefs and the Eagles LIVE on As.com.

Not only is the biggest game of the National Football League upon us -- Super Bowl LVII sees the Kansas City Chiefs clash with the Philadelphia Eagles in Phoenix -- but so are the musical accompaniments. Rihanna and special guests will be performing for us in the halftime show but before all the action begins, we have the singing of the US national anthem.

Who is singing the Super Bowl national anthem?

Chris Stapleton is the man taking charge of the anthem, a country music singer that has 15 Country Music Association and 10-Academy of Country Music Awards in addition to being an Eight-time Grammy winner.

He has over 170 songs written and co-written; six of his songs reached the top of the country charts. He initially moved to Nashville in 2001 to study engineering but ultimately abandoned that goal in favor of a music career.

Here’s what he said about the honour:

“The national anthem’s not an easy song for singers. It’s one that can go horribly wrong as we’ve seen many times in the past,” Stapleton said. “But if you’re gonna do it, this is the place to do it.”

“I’m gonna go out there and play. And play it like I play it.”

How long did Stapleton take to sing the national anthem?

For all those awaiting the exact time that Chris Stapleton spent on the anthem, allow me to clarify.

The national anthem took: 2 minutes and 1 second.

For comparison, the average before tonight was 1:43. Did you get it right?
