Jason Kelce’s three-letter post speaks volumes after the Eagles’ Monday Night Football loss to the Chargers

A dreadful Eagles loss to the Chargers evoked negative feelings in Kelce, who took to social media.

Update:

On Monday night, after a eye-gaugingly awful 22–19 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers, retired center Jason Kelce didn’t just mince words - he didn’t even use them. He posted a single, stark letter on Twitter: “Fml.” That terse message captured raw disbelief and disappointment, a sentiment shared by many in Philadelphia.

For a former pillar of the franchise who spent 13 seasons anchoring the Eagles’ offensive line, the tweet was more than reaction; it was a symbolic shrug of the shoulders at the state of a struggling side.

The loss extended the Eagles’ skid to three straight defeats, dropping their record to 8–5. The offense was riddled with mistakes throughout: five turnovers in total, including four interceptions and a crucial fumble, all stemming from a nightmarish outing by quarterback Jalen Hurts.

“It definitely stings, but how do you respond”

He completed only 21 of 40 passes for 240 yards and failed to throw a touchdown. The defining moment? A game-sealing interception deep in overtime. “We lost the game and I didn’t play well enough to help us to win the game,” Hurts admitted in the aftermath.

On a single play, Hurts committed two turnovers, a rare and ignominious feat. The cascade of errors, along with six penalties for 53 yards, illustrated how far the team has fallen from the juggernaut they once were.

“It definitely stings, but how do you respond,” he added. “That’s the only way I know how to look at it... Let’s see what type of resolve do we have within, to respond the way we want to.”

Next up for the Eagles is a home game against the lowly Las Vegas Raiders (2–11). While on paper it is a gift of a game, such silly errors that have characterised their season cannot afford to be repeated at this stage of the season. Feathers are ruffled.
