Update:

Joey Bosa was released by the Los Angeles Chargers back in March when the 30-year-old pass rusher still had a year to run on his contract. It was effectively a cost-cutting exercise. Even though Bosa had taken a a pay cut to remain with the Chargers, he carried a $36.4 million hit against this season’s salary cap, which was beyond the franchise’s budget.

As a free agent, the Five-time Pro Bowl pass rusher had no shortage of suitors, including the 49ers, but after spending all of his professional career in California, he decided to swap west coast for east, joining the Bills on March 13, 2025.

How long is left on Joey Bosa’s contract with the Bills?

Bosa signed a one-year deal worth $12.6 million with a max value of $15.6 million. As he is still only 30, he might be able to renegotiate an extension depending on how far the Bills get this season, his performances and whether he can remain injury-free.

In the first two games of this season, against the Ravens and the Jets, Joey has racked up a total of four tackles, one sack and three forced fumbles.

Bosa and the Bills are back in action tonight, hosting the Miami Dolphins (0-2) at Highmark Stadium.
