Buffalo Bills fans can now add a Josh Allen twist to their tailgates - with melons from his family’s California farm.
Josh Allen isn’t just the star quarterback for the Buffalo Bills or the guy who helps you win fantasy each week. He’s also a farmer, and that role runs deep. His family has been farming pistachios in California’s Central Valley for generations, and recently brought their cantaloupes and honeydew melons to New York.

Allen has a deep appreciation - and nostalgia - for pistachios. Recently, Allen partnered with Wonderful Pistachios as the star of the brand’s upcoming fall campaign.

Allen called the partnership “full circle,” noting how agriculture shaped his upbringing and how pistachios remain a go-to fuel for his training. Beyond serving as a spokesperson, Allen and Wonderful Pistachios will launch a scholarship fund to support high school students in the Central Valley.
For Allen, who has already landed national deals with brands like Gatorade and Natrol, this latest partnership blends his NFL star power with his agricultural roots.
And now, part of his farming background has made its way to New York. Buffalo Bills fans can now enjoy melons from Allen’s family’s farm at their tailgates. Wegmans and Tops are selling cantaloupes and honeydew grown by Allen’s family under the new “JA17 Allen Family Farms” label.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Patricia Allen Fund at Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, supporting pediatric care and family programs. Sales launched this week across Tops and select Wegmans locations in upstate New York.
