The Baltimore Ravens’ participation in the NFL Super Wild Card Weekend will begin this Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, but they will have to face them without Lamar Jackson as starting quarterback.

Jackson announced on his Twitter account that he will not play in the wild-card round of the 2022 playoffs because his knee is still unstable due to inflammation. The quarterback suffered a PCL sprain to his right joint in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos.

“Thank you all for the support and concern about my injuries. I want to give you an update as I am on the mend,” Jackson said. “I suffered a second-degree PCL sprain, almost third. There is still swelling around my knee and it is unstable”.

Despite this, the MVP of the 2019 season was optimistic but noted that he is not 100 percent and that he trusts his teammates for the game against the Bengals.

“I am in a good mood, as I am still undergoing treatment for recovery. More than anything, I wish I could be with my teammates, but I can’t give 100 percent to them and the fans. I’m hopeful we still have a chance,” Jackson tweeted.
