Myles Garrett promises to put new divisional rival “in the graveyard”
The Cleveland Browns defensive end made some wild claims about the veteran QB who just signed for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The start of the 2025 NFL season is still nearly three months away but the trash talking has already begun, starting with Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett.
The 29-year-old recently re-signed with the Browns on a huge $160 million new deal and he’s already picking out his targets for the new season. Garrett, the 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, has targeted veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers and made a pretty bold claim.
Rodgers signed with the Steelers on a one-year contract last week and he will be expected to have an instant impact on the team’s fortunes. Speaking at a team practice session on Tuesday, Garrett was asked what he thought about the news that Rodgers was joining NFC North.
“I think it’s a good opportunity to put him in the graveyard,” Garrett replied with a grin.
Garrett was referencing his now-annual tradition of decorating his house as a graveyard on Halloween, with personalized tombstones bearing the names of every QB that he has sacked.
Despite his incredible record in the NFL, Garrett actually failed to sack Rodgers in their only previous meeting, a Week 16 matchup with the Green Bay Packers in 2021. He will get another chance when the Steelers host the Browns on October 12 this year, shortly before Halloween.
