NFL Fantasy Football: Week 9 starts and sits, picks and lineup advice
The NFL trade deadline has shaken up the rosters, and may have some effect on your team. Here are some things to remember when making your Week 9 lineup.
The NFL trade deadline recorded the biggest number of trades made on the last day, and these 10 deals may have a ripple effect on your fantasy teams.
First off, scoring in fantasy might be on its way up as evidenced by five players scoring three touchdowns each on Sunday. Christian McCaffrey is back in fine form, A.J. Brown knocked out the Steelers, Alvin Kamara (who was NOT traded) returned to the top 10 list of fantasy players, while D’Onta Foreman and Tony Pollard pleasantly surprised their fantasy owners.
Six teams on bye
Numerous injuries are giving fantasy owners a headache, not to mention that many teams will be heading into their bye in Week 9. Keep in mind that the Broncos, Browns, Cowboys, Giants, Steelers, and 49ers will not be seeing action this week. That means a lot of star running backs will not be on the field, including Nick Chubb, Christian McCaffrey, and Saquon Barkley.
Among the wide receivers, fantasy teams will be missing Brando Aiyuk, Amari Cooper, and CeeDee Lamb, while the loss of the services of tight ends Greg Dulcich, Pat Freirmuth, and George Kittle will be sorely felt.
