NFL preseason games today: Who’s playing on Saturday, Aug. 16 and how to watch on TV and stream online

Preseason is what it is - a time to get build back rhythm and get into gear for the new campaign. And while results are unimportant, coaches and fans want to see something positive from their teams.

On Saturday the Week 2 preseason schedule continues with 11 games - following on from Friday’s action which saw the Seahawks upset the Chiefs (16-33) at Lumen Field, with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce rested once again.

Earlier, the Tennessee Titans defeated the Atlanta Falcons 20-23 at Mercedes-Benz stadium. The bad news for the Falcons was losing QB Emory Jones to injury at the start of the fourth quarter.

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris was keen to evaluate Jones, before deciding on his 53-man roster for the new campaign.

Eagles in action

Reigning NFL champions the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Cleveland Browns. Nick Sirianni’s team kicked off their preseason with a 27-34 win over the Cincinnati Bengals last week, and after today’s game, will face the Jets in New York as their final test before the new season gets underway.

Let’s take a look at today’s Week 2 matchups - four games will be broadcast live on NFL Network. The rest of the games will be aired by local broadcasters in their home markets, or available to stream on NFL+.
