NFL preseason games today: Who’s playing on Sunday, Aug. 10 and how to watch on TV and stream online
The first full weekend of the NFL’s preseason comes to and end toady, and there are only two games on the schedule for this second Sunday in August.

The first full weekend of the NFL’s preseason comes to an end on Sunday afternoon, and there are just two games on for those of you who still haven’t gotten your football fix over the last few days.
Miami Dolphins vs. Chicago Bears, 1 p.m. ET on NFL Network
The Miami Dolphins start their exhibition slate in Chicago and while the focus will on the guys deeper down the roster, Mike McDaniel may put some of his starters, if not all of them out on the field to begin the game. It’s been a tough couple of years for Miami and especially Tua Tagovailoa who has been banged up and struggled to end seasons healthy. The offense is and has been the driving force for the Dolphins when they are healthy so fans will want to see some that firepower, but the real concern is on defense. Minkah Fitzpatrick and company will look take the first steps in beefing up and locking down.
See you tomorrow 👀

The Bears headline coming into this season is Caleb Williams and his sophomore year in the league but he is unlikely to play in Chicago’s preseason opener. Ben Johnson is the new boss in the Windy City, and while he’s an offensive minded coach he is coming in to clean things up on both sides of the ball. We are going to have Tyson Bagent under center for most of the afternoon and he will be giving us our first glimpse at the offense that Johnson brought over from Detroit, even though it won’t be with his first team guys.
New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Chargers, 4:05 p.m. ET on NFL Network
The Saints preseason is underlined by their uncertainty at the quarterback position. After Derek Carr’s forced retirement in the offseason, the QB room is full of inexperienced, young gun slingers who will be fighting for the starting role in Week 1. Spencer Rattler, Tyler Shough, Jake Haener and Hunter Dekkers will all get time today in the first exhibition of the season. Remember this was a team that started last year on a two game roll, but then they got hit by the injury bug and plummeted down the standings. New coach Kellen Moore will get to see how his offense looks after leaving the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

— Los Angeles Chargers (@chargers) August 9, 2025
The Chargers are heading into game two of the preseason after playing in the Hall of Fame Game at the end of August. Trey Lance got the start last game, and played pretty well against the Detroit Lions, but it’s going to be Taylor Heinicke getting the start. That mean Lance will be coming in off the bench as Justin Herbert will be watching from the sidelines. There’s some shifting on the offensive line as Rashawn Slater suffered a season ending knee injury so tonight LA will be focused on Joe Alt and the protection the QBs get in the back field.
