Seahawks are on the up and the Bucs are not
While it seems strange to say it, the safer bet in this one is probably Geno Smith over Tom Brady. The Seahawks continue to be overlooked even though they’ve now won four games in a row. Their offense is currently ranked fourth in yards per play and Smith is a major part of that, Seattle’s signal called has completed 73.1% of passes with a 15:4 touchdown-to-interception ratio. That’s to say that the Seahawks are going places and their signal caller is taking them there.
On the other side of the divide, we’ve got Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When Brady came out of his brief retirement, we can’t imagine that he saw things going like this. They did beat the Rams last week, but this is a team that is well and truly struggling and most definitely where the offense is concerned. Hard to believe that the Bucs started out as hot favorites when Brady initially returned. Here and now, they’re looking at what could be a beating in Munich. With that said let’s get into the details of this one.
Bucs vs Seahawks: The Prediction
Aside from Geno Smith who is having a great season, we’ve got to mention Seattle’s talented bunch of rookies. From both starting tackles, Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas, to their 3 starters on defense, CB Tariq Woolen, CB Coby Brant and LB Boye Mafe, the Seahawks are loaded. Keep in mind, there’s also the current odds-on favorite for offensive rookie of the year, RB Kenneth Walker. To be clear, the Seahawks lead the NFL in combined rookie snaps this season (2,720) and let’s be honest, they’re going to improve. This is all to say, that though it can be tricky predicting how an international game is going to go, we think the Seahawks are the better team and are going to win this game outrightly.
