Having spent some time without a time, the talented wide out may now be in line for another crack in the NFL, only this time with a direct rival of his former team.

Baltimore Ravens have interest in Jarvis Landry

Its been almost two months since former Cleveland Browns’ wide receiver Jarvis Landry requested a release and in turn got what he asked for. According to reports, however, it now seems that Landry may be back in the AFC North, but simply not with his former team. Indeed, it’s now understood that the Pro Bowl wide receiver is attracting interest from the conference rivals Baltimore Ravens. While a return to the Browns had not been completely ruled out it would appear that there has been no conversation between the franchise and the free agent. What’s more is that with Cleveland having recently added two receivers to their roster in the 2022 NFL Draft, logic would dictate that Landry’s time is well and truly over.

Adding even further weight to the reports is the fact that Baltimore Ravens’ official website has since posted an article in which Landry is called a logical fit for the team. “This feels like a classic Ravens right-player, right-price move,” the article stated. “Landry has been ultra-productive over his career, comes with strong leadership and work ethic. He’d bring some more dawg to the offense.”

Is Jarvis Landry worth it?

At 29 years old Landry is in his prime. Though he has not seen any concrete offers put on the table it would be a mistake to believe that the early reports of interest from the Bills and Chiefs, along with his visits to the Falcons and Saints is the extent of what we will see going forward. With the NFL’s Draft now out of the way, expect Landry to have a few suitors who come calling as we approach training camp. Where the Ravens specifically are concerned, Landry would indeed be natural fit for a team who just traded Marquise Brown to the Cardinals. Landry has both experience and a credible CV when it comes to passes caught. Watch this space!
