Rosters for the 2023 Pro Bowl are set; how are Pro Bowl teams determined?
Why were Tua Tagovailoa, Lamar Jackson, and Christian McCaffrey left out of the 2023 Pro Bowl Games?

The NFL announced the rosters for the National Conference and American Conference teams that will participate in the 2023 Pro Bowl Games.
The Philadelphia Eagles, who have the League’s best record at 13-1, lead the NFL in invitations to the Pro Bowl Games.
Eight Eagles players made the NFC team on Wednesday: quarterback Jalen Hurts, wide receiver A.J. Brown, offensive linemen Landon Dickerson, Lane Johnson, and Jason Kelce, edge Haason Reddick, running back Miles Sanders, and cornerback Darius Slay.
The Cowboys and Chiefs follow with seven players each, and the Ravens and 49ers (six apiece). The Minnesota Vikings had five players make it.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears were the only teams without a Pro Bowl selection.
How are Pro Bowl teams determined?
In each edition of the NFL All-Star Game, there are players who deserve to be part of the rosters but are discarded because they do not meet the votes of the fans, players, or coaches, in addition to the fact that there are others in their position with better numbers.
Pro Bowl teams are set by combining the votes of those three (fans, players, and coaches.) Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, for example, received the most votes from fans, but was outplayed by Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow.
Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce received the second-highest fan votes after Tagovailoa.
All five made their respective teams.
